The British Amateur Television Club provides a web streaming service for members and TV repeaters. You can stream directly to your web browser by following this link and clicking on the repeater of interest.
Alternately you can stream direct to an application suck as VLC Media Player. VLC Media Player is supported on many platforms including: Windows, Mac, Ubuntu (Linux), Apple iOS, Apple TVOS, Android, Sony PlayStation etc. You can download and install a copy from the official web site:
Once you’ve downloaded and installed VLC you can then connect to any repeater thus (Windows shown, but the process is similar for other versions).
On opening VLC select: Media => Open Network Stream
Then in the “Network” Tab type in this address: rtmp://rtmp.batc.org.uk/live/gb3jv If you already have VLC installed and it is configured as the default video player application then you just need click the link above.
The press the “Play” Button and after 15 seconds or so the picture (and sound if present) of the repeater output will appear. You can substitute the repeater call-sign for other TV repeater callsigns or indeed for the weekly “oscar100net” the BATC weekly satellite network on Thursday Evenings from around 19:00.
